YTU Yıldız Technopark took an important step in its global growth vision by moving its London office to a new address. With the new center, which was granted International Technology Marketing Office (UTPO) status by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade, the scope of international support offered to entrepreneurs has also been expanded. Attending the office opening, YTU Yıldız Technopark General Manager Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammet Garip stated in an exclusive interview with Kanal Avrupa that they support entrepreneurs in their journey from a start-up to a unicorn.
YTU Yıldız Technopark, one of Türkiye's leading institutions in technology exports, has entered a new era in its international structuring. Moving its operations in London to a more central location, Chancery Station House, the Technopark also received UTPO support from the Ministry of Trade, earning the title of being the first center in Europe with this status. During the launch held at the new address, the global potential of the ecosystem was emphasized, and exclusive statements were made to Kanal Avrupa screens. At the event, technology companies that will operate within the office were introduced to international participants.
Making exclusive statements to Kanal Avrupa after the launch, YTU Yıldız Technopark General Manager Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammet Garip expressed their great happiness in accompanying the global journey of entrepreneurs. Stating that the excitement of technology companies emerging from Türkiye expanding into international markets motivates them, Garip said, "It makes us extremely happy to see the excitement of our entrepreneurs and technology-developing partners on their path to becoming global companies."
Emphasizing that technoparks are nurturing ecosystems where knowledge is commercialized and startups grow, Garip noted that they offer support to companies at every stage, from entrepreneurship training to incubation processes, and from start-up and scale-up stages to unicorn goals. Expressing that their overseas offices are also a part of this global growth vision, Garip stated that they stand by entrepreneurs at every step they take.
Providing information about their overseas structures as well, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Garip stated that they operate in different countries, primarily Dubai, London, Amsterdam, and Skopje, and mentioned that no specific scale requirement is needed to apply to the technopark. "Anyone who has a project, an idea, and an ambition can apply. But of course, your project, idea, and product need to be qualified. These are the basic conditions presented to us by law by our Ministry of Industry and Technology. We evaluate the projects; if they are successful, we incorporate them. Our overseas offices are also a part of this process. But first, the project must be accepted as successful," he stated.
Additionally, the YTU Yıldız Technopark London Office will continue its operations at the following address: 1st Floor, 31-33 High Holborn, London WC1V 6AX.
