The winners of the 48-hour hackathon marathon have been announced

In the 48-hour technology marathon organized by YTU Startup House with Türksat as the main partner, innovative projects focused on artificial intelligence and digital transformation competed against one another. Following the challenging process, the top three ranking startups received their awards at a special ceremony.

Continuing to accelerate the entrepreneurship ecosystem, YTU Startup House organized the 100 StartUP Bootcamp-Hackathon event at the Tarihi Hamam Cultural Center in collaboration with Türksat to contribute to technology production. Teams consisting of Yıldız Technical University students designed end-to-end solution processes for problems they identified themselves during a continuous 48-hour marathon. Shaped around artificial intelligence, digital transformation, data technologies, and next-generation product ideas, the event gave competitors the opportunity to showcase their analytical thinking, technical proficiency, and product development skills.

Close Monitoring of Projects by Management

During the hackathon, where participants raced against time, the development processes were closely followed. Yıldız Technical University Chief Advisor to the Rector, Prof. Dr. Özer Çınar, and YTÜ Yıldız Technopark General Manager, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammet Garip, came together with the students in their work areas. Witnessing the design and coding stages of the teams, the executives visited the desks one by one, examined the developed projects on-site, and listened to the participants' proposed solutions.

Winners of the 48-Hour Marathon

At the finale of the event, which witnessed intense competition and innovative ideas, the top three teams entitled to receive cash prizes were announced following the jury's evaluation. The award-winning teams in the marathon, where projects focused on social benefit and sectoral solutions stood out, were ranked as follows:

• First Prize | SolarVise: An AI-supported feasibility platform that offers roof/land analysis, energy production estimation, savings, and depreciation calculations for Solar Power Plant (SPP) investments using satellite imagery and artificial intelligence.

• Second Prize | Hallederiz: An analysis platform offering AI-supported location guidance for businesses, preventing business losses caused by incorrect location choices through the integration of spatial mapping, AI analysis, and smart reporting.

• Third Prize | Damga: An AI-supported mobile application that instantly converts the sign language of hearing-impaired individuals into voice and text, specifically aiming to provide accessible communication in government institutions.

The marathon, where abstract ideas transformed into concrete projects within 48 hours and teams pushed their technical boundaries, was successfully completed with the emergence of technological works that will shape the future.
