Türkiye-Canada Technology & Business Matchmaking Day Brings Technology Ecosystems Together

Hosted by Yıldız Technical University and YTU Yıldız Technopark in collaboration with the Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Consulate General of Canada, the “Türkiye-Canada Technology & Business Matchmaking Day” brought together technology companies, academics, and ecosystem stakeholders from Türkiye and Canada.

The event provided a platform for participants working across fields including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analytics, advanced engineering, health technologies, and fintech to explore potential commercial and technological partnerships, joint R&D projects, university–industry collaborations, and international project opportunities.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Cengiz Kaya, Deputy General Manager of YTU Yıldız Technopark, highlighted the role of bringing together different technologies, industries, and areas of expertise in driving innovation. He also emphasized the complementary strengths of the technology ecosystems in Türkiye and Canada.

The event also provided an opportunity to showcase YTU Yıldız Technopark’s international project and collaboration activities, while technology companies from both countries presented their products, solutions, and capabilities. Following the company presentations, one-on-one B2B meetings enabled participants to explore potential commercial, technological, and R&D partnerships in greater detail.

The event aims to strengthen connections between the Türkiye and Canada technology ecosystems and support the transformation of the contacts established into commercial partnerships, technology development initiatives, joint R&D activities, and internationally funded projects.
